Chung had his mitral valve and aortic valves replaced today and one other valve repaired. After 8 hours in surgery, he was brought up to the intensive care unit on the tenth floor of the Children's Hospital at Montefiore. He is reportedly doing well, although he is still on a respirator. They may wean him off the respirator late tonight or tomorrow if all continues well. His brother Junior is staying with him and some of his other family that lives nearby in the Bronx has been visiting. If all goes as planned he will be in the hospital 10 days to 2 weeks. I will let club members know when it is alright to visit him also.

I took the photos below before he went into surgery and this evening shortly after being stabilized in the PICU unit. Please keep him in your prayers that he will recover quickly.
