  • Moved to area from Washington DC for family reasons – Ridgewood is a great community
  • Went to Harvard, worked in think tank in Washington, attended Yale Law School
  • Practices civil-rights law
  • Works hard to a be a problem solver and bringing down the temperature during conflicts to improve communications
  • Ridgewood needs to reduce property taxes, and find ways to keep empty nesters in the area
  • Believes in doing simple things rights and transparency in government
  • Ridgewood needs to be open and welcome to all
  • Village website requires a refresh

  • As an aside Ali graduated at the top of her class at Harvard
  • Believes in the importance of transparency in communications for Ridgewood issues
  • Moved to Ridgewood 32 years ago. Studied at universities in Michigan and Rochester NY.
  • Career in banking and financial writing
  • Budget – shared services are a good way to cut taxes. Ridgewood is very good in some services, other communities have better services in some areas. Ridgewood / Glen Rock 911 dispatch shared service is example of good model going forward.
