The Rotary Club of Ridgewood AM recently featured club member and Village Councilwoman Pam Perron at its weekly Zoom meeting. Pam shared her journey from being a long time resident of Ridgewood through deciding to run, campaigning during a pandemic and eventually winning her seat on the Village Council.
Pam was born in Ridgewood, graduated from Ridgewood High School, received her undergraduate degree from Columbia and her law degree from Tulane University.
While Pam attained progressive responsibilities as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, a litigator with a prestigious New York law firm and eventually opening her own firm she didn’t set out to run for public office. However, you only have to meet Pam once to appreciate her passion for giving back to the community she loves.
Pam is an advocate for local businesses and has been one of the leading supporters of the Village’s Grab and Go initiative to help local restaurants and retailers during the pandemic. Throughout her life, she has lived the Rotary motto of “service over self” and is an example for all of us to follow.
Pam and her husband Chuck raised their three children in Ridgewood and now enjoy gardening, yoga, spending time with family and shopping and dining out in Ridgewood.
